The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has uncovered what it described as a fake government agency operating under the name National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office.
According to the anti-corruption agency, the purported office was operating unlawfully after being allocated office space within the premises of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The ICPC said the discovery forms part of its ongoing efforts to identify and tackle fraudulent entities and unauthorised activities within government establishments.
The Commission is expected to provide further details on the circumstances surrounding the establishment and operation of the purported agency, including how it secured office space within the SGF complex.
