For the second time in one week, Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has lamented that his predecessor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was in Kano to campaign for the position of President Muhammadu Buhari and he has told him that there is no vacancy for that position.
He has also threatened to expose shoddy deals perpetrated by Kwankwaso while in office as governor.
Speaking while inspecting a road project at Dakata-Bella road in Nassarawa local government area of the state, Ganduje said: “Some work has been done with so many shoddy deals which I will soon expose for people to know the calibre of person my predecessor was.
“Kano people will always resist any attempt by anyone to short-change them. Yes, we know the genuine projects, including the shoddy ones which I will not tolerate by exposing them for people to judge your action.”
In a similar development, Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has been accused of “thinking of removing President Muhammadu Buhari.”
In an explosive interview in the March edition of The Interview magazine, Senator Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna Central under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said: “It would be counter-productive for the governor to start thinking of evicting Buhari in 2019 to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“El-Rufai should do his job and stop putting his eyes on the presidency.”
Senator Sani and Governor El-Rufai have been at odds for undisclosed political reasons, leading to Sani’s suspension by the state branch of the party.
