About The Destiny Trust

The Destiny Trust is a social initiative addressing the needs of children and households in impoverished communities through an integrated range of assistance which include education and provision of basic needs. The organization was established in 2012 by a group of young professionals in various firms to make a difference in the lives of children who roam the streets around their workplace.

We believe that every child has right to equal chance for the pursuit of happiness regardless of the circumstances of birth. Through the years, we have seen clear evidence that the impoverished children have limitless potentials as children with better opportunities. Our passion is to save the destiny of these vulnerable children who would not have any chance except for this intervention. This is why we constantly seek to connect individuals and organizations in a revolutionary way to initiate and implement social projects that have sustainable impact on children in poor communities.

Our recent projects include: establishing and running a Residential Rehabilitation and Learning Centre at Bogije Village, Ibeju-Lekki, providing education sponsorship/support to 100 children enrolled in schools in 3 Lagos communities through crowdsourced funds from a social media campaign-#1000HelpingHands, running the Education Bridge Initiative, an accelerated learning programme to teach out-of-school children basic literacy, numeracy and civics before enrolling them in formal schools, reaching out to over 500 children in squatter settlements through provision of food, and clothing during community outreaches/soup kitchens.
