Kogi Will Soon Catch Up With Lagos – Yahaya Bello

Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has expressed optimism that the state would soon catch up with Lagos State, in terms of development.

Speaking with newsmen at the end of a meeting between members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its National Working Committee (NWC), Bello said his administration was leaving no stone unturned to achieve the goal.

He said: “Kogi State is moving, it has woken up from its slumber and it is on the verge of taking off to fly. “We are not just walking or running, we are about to fly. Kogi is really working and it is moving.

As ambassador of youth, I am providing good leadership in Kogi and in no distant time, we are going to see that Kogi will catch up with Lagos by the grace of God.”

While insisting that there is no political crisis in the state, as was been perceived in some quarters, the governor faulted insinuations that he was behind the travails of Senator Dino Melaye, the embattled lawmaker representing Kogi West, whose constituents have demanded his recall.

On the current agitation from different parts of the country for restructuring, Bello advised youths to be patient with the Federal Government, saying it behooves them to believe in their abilities, since all that is required is a good leadership, as being provided by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
