KOWA Party Repositioned to Accommodate Youths – National Youth Leader

A statement by Jude Feranmi, the National Youth Leader of KOWA Party has said that the perceived silence of his party was not due to lack of interest or negligence of duty, neither was it a justification that KOWA PARTY is an election period political party as some have opined.

He also noted that KOWA PARTY has improved its structure to accommodate the youths.

Read his full statement below:

The leadership of KOWA PARTY in response to numerous calls by the citizenry on what they perceived as a lackadaisical approach from the party in the light of the hardship on the land, wishes to inform all Nigerians that the party is strong in all ramifications to dictate and present a formidable opposition party. As the saying goes “If you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail”, in other to avoid the latter part of the quoted statement, it became unavoidable to strengthen the structure of the party.

The silence was therefore not due to lack of interest or negligence of duty neither was it a justification that KOWA PARTY is an election period political party as some have opined. We believe it is our responsibility to ensure that the present government delivers their promises to Nigerians. We are happy to inform all Nigerians that the party structure has been on a journey to strengthen it and provide it with the needed ingredients to be effective.

KOWA PARTY in its last national executive meeting in completion of the restructuring process has innaguarated new occupants of different available position in the structure of the party. A new National Executive Council chaired by Alhaji Saidou Boboi with Comrade Mark Adebayo as the National Secretary was elected at the last Convention which held on the 2nd of April and have met regularly to strategize and come up with platforms to engage the current government and the Nigerian people.

We are aware of the huge number of smart and intelligent Nigerian youths, whose penchant for political participation has restrained them to manageably embrace the current “nepotised” and “leadership monopolized” dystopian political parties (APC and PDP). The office of the National Youth Caucus wishes to inform the entire youth with bias for effective and productive political participation that the time for the exodus is now and the direction is no other than KOWA PARTY.

KOWA PARTY and its leadership have sat down, pondered over and over, they have found youth integration as important and exigent to the development of a nation and that a serious government needs not see its youth demography intimidating and dragging such demography into active political participation will go a long way in attaining the needed national development.

In response to this, KOWA PARTY as is the custom has improved its structure to accommodate the youths. We are certain that they were all told this line of statement “the youth are the Leaders of Tomorrow”, KOWA is saying to all youths “The tomorrow is now, come out en masse to embrace and take a seat at the decision table”.

Our country is been knocked heavily by a 21st century problem and the way out should be tackling such with similar version of antidote and not the Paleolithic antidote like the ideas of the 19th century. We understand that every industry that has been revolutionized in our country in the private sector has been through the efforts of the young people who play in such sectors. As is the time to revolutionize the political sector, KOWA PARTY invites the young people of this country who have what it takes to join our party.

The importance of opposition party in a democratic system of government cannot be underestimated neither can it be relegated, this we know. Though recent display by “soon to be” displaced main opposition party and its supporters across the country has not just been abysmal but a real embarrassment of opposition politicking, political grandstanding, exchange of “abusive, vulgar” words, bacullum, and any of its family is not what opposition politicking is all about. KOWA PARTY is here with a redefined version of what it means to be the alternative party where ideas and suggestion to aide national development will take the day and not what we are currently experiencing.

As a political party with no element of previous or current architect of our dear country’s terrible predicament coupled with the polluted political atmosphere, KOWA PARTY with no iota of phony particles has been having difficulties getting necessary financial resources needed to compete in a politically bastardised atmosphere. This should not be surprising as we are aware that the politics of the piper’s payer dictating the tune is apparent in our nation.

KOWA PARTY is therefore pleading and inviting all Nigerians to turn their backs against politicians that believes they can buy our birthrights cheaply from us. It is time for all Nigerians to embrace a political tactic built on intelligence, ideas, experience.

Investing in a political party is not archaic, in fact it is the best way to get involved in the development of the country, investing in a political party is similar to buying a share, KOWA PARTY is therefore urging Nigerians to come and take their space and join the decision making team of the party seeing that the process is one of the easiest processes at joining a political party.

We believe that together we can make a difference.
