What with Jamie Vardy taking all the limelight with his goals record, and Leicester’s story in general taking much of the focus, little Watford have flown under the radar this season.
But taking a 1-0 lead into half-time against Sunderland, the Hornets currently sit 6th in the table as things stand. Sixth.
And much of their early season success is down to free-scoring striker Odion Ighalo, who netted his 10th Premier League goal of the season this afternoon.
In so doing, he’s joined an elite list of African strikers – only Drogba, Ba and Mahrez had managed 10 goals from the first 16 games before.
And he’s also become the first Watford player to score 10 Premier League goals in a season; in their fledgling Premier League adventures to date, they haven’t tended to score so many…
And with most of the so-called top strikers floundering this season – your Rooneys, your Costas – Ighalo is really making them look bad with his stats.

We need to talk about Odion Ighalo, people…
