The senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Mr. Yele Omogunwa, has reportedly dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress, Punch reports.
This came when the forthcoming governorship election in the state is six days away.
Although the senator had not formally announced his decision, it was gathered that the lawmaker made his intention known to his supporters in Ode Irele, the headquarters of the Irele Local Government Area of the state on Sunday evening.
It was also gathered that the defection of the senator was not unconnected with the ongoing factional crisis rocking the party.
