That is why this prayer session, meant to commit our country into the hands of God in year 2016, is a step in the right direction,” noting that ongoing anti-corruption war in the country, would restore the dignity of Nigeria, fix infrastructure, create employment and revive the nation.

While commending the Foundation for its commitment to championing national rebirth, she urged Nigerians, to see beyond the current socio-economic challenges and be hopeful.

In her welcome address, the Iyalode of Lagos and president of the Foundation, Hajia Bintu-Fatima Tinubu, noted that the caliber of the invitees, was testimony that Nigeria would be prosperous again and live up to her claim as the giant of Africa. She urged the citizenry not to despair despite challenges, stressing that there was light at the end of the tunnel.

Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs and guest speaker, Dr. Abdul Hakeem Abdul Lateef, enjoined the three arms of government to participate fully in the crusade against corruption and to be sensitive to the plight of the citizenry.
