President Mahama’s Mother Laid to Rest

President John Mahama’s late mother Hajia Abiba Nnaba has been laid to rest in her hometown, Busunu in the West Gonja district in the Northern region.

The funeral ceremony held in the Gonja West district Friday, June 17, 2016 attracted several dignitaries including ministers of state and some members of the diplomatic corps as well as the general public.

In line with the Muslim faith, the remains of the late mother of the President was buried after a special Muslim prayer, Salati Jannazah, was said for her departed soul.
