You’d naturally assume that being leader of the free world is a huge job. The biggest.
However, Donald Trump, it seems had other expectations.
Newt Gingrich, a leading Republican, claims he told him when they met last week that ‘this is really a bigger job than I thought.’
The former speaker of the house told USA Today that he thought that was ‘good’ and that ‘he should think that.’
He added that as president ‘you have war and peace, you have enormous powers…and it all comes down to the Oval Office and it all comes down to you.’
The billionaire announced last week he will step away from his business empire to ‘fully focus on running the country’.
But it’s not the first indication that the job is surpassing his preconceptions.
According to The Wall Street Journal, he ‘seemed surprised by the scope’ of his responsibilities when meeting Barack Obama in the White House.
