The Government of Zamfara State has suspended the emir of Birnin ‘Yandoto of Tsafe Local Government Area for alleged turbaning of a repentant notorious bandit Adamu Aliero Yankuzo as Sarkin Fulani of his emirate.
Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle directed the immediate suspension of the Emir.
Matawalle approved the appointment of a committee to investigate the circumstances leading to the action of the Emir.
The committee has former Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Yahaya Chado Gora as chairman and Barr. Musa Garba as Secretary.
The Governor directed the District Head of ‘Yandoto Alh. Mahe Garba Marafa to take charge of the affairs of the Emirate in the interim.
