Sixteen people aboard a United Airlines flight were injured after the jet hit turbulence on Wednesday and had to reroute for an emergency landing, TIME reports.

United Airlines Flight 880 was en route to London from Houston when it made an emergency landing in Shannon, Ireland due to “severe and unexpected turbulence,” according to the airline.

Ten passengers and two crew members were taken to the hospital when the Boeing aircraft landed, a United Airlines spokesman told Reuters.

Of the twelve hospitalized, all but one were quickly discharged, University Hospital Limerick said in a statement. Those injured, three of whom were children, suffered minor head injuries, soft tissue injuries and lacerations.

The 207 passengers on the flight continued their journey to London on a different aircraft, the airline said.
