APDA Produce First Female Guber Candidate in Anambra

Arch. (Mrs) Adaeze Okafor has emerged the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) gubernatorial candidate after defeating her opponent by 390 votes against 3 votes by Mr Izuegbu Chinedu Chima through biometric voting system in Awka at the party’s primaries observed by representatives of INEC yesterday.

She was declared winner by the chairman of the gubernatorial primaries for Anambra, Mallam Yunusa Sarki who is equally the FCT Chairman of the party.

The INEC officials who monitored the primaries commended the innovation of technology introduced through biometrics by APDA which has reduced gathering of thousands of people in a particular place. In her acceptance speech she promised to bring her wealth of experience to bear in recreating a new Anambra where Anambrarians will be proud off and make it the China of Africa.

Architect Adaeze Okafor brings over twenty years of professional experience to the task. She holds a B.A in Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, BSc and MSc Architecture from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and California Teaching Credential from National University, Los Angeles. Arc. Okafor is completing a doctoral program in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, Arizona. Mrs Okafor’s other qualifications include CBEST, CSET (Multiple and Single Subjects), BTSA, NCLB Certified and Teacher Mentor.

As a career instructor, Mrs. Okafor lectured in the Department of Architecture, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus for over fifteen years. Arc (Mrs.) Okafor is an educationist whose knowledge, passion and success in the effective manipulation of instructional strategies to move American youth to learn was noticed and acknowledged by awards she received from organizations and different government arms in California. Mrs. Okafor consults with Los Angeles Unified School District to conduct Professional Development for teachers which involves “teaching teachers how to teach”. Mrs. Okafor is also a consultant and trainer for Special Education and Early Childhood Education.

Mrs. Okafor has at her disposal limitless instructional strategies, technologies and educational resources to redirect the teaching and learning of students and educational personnel from primary through secondary to tertiary institutions.

She is the founder of Teamability, which is an initiative setup for training and coaching teams/groups on the dynamics of enhancing teams’ productivity, efficiency and leveraging cultural diversity. She is also a Corporate Trainer, Speaker, Coach and Consultant in Human Resource Management and Capacity building – which includes; Social and Emotional Intelligence, Leadership development, Change Management etc. She also uses the veritable tool of Character Education training to build a workforce with reputation, integrity, honesty, hard work and dedication to mention a few.
