Buhari’s Approval Rating Crashes Down to 39%

The latest poll released by NOIPolls has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval rating for the month of June has nosedived to 39 per cent from 48 per cent in May.

The poll, which was made available to the media in Abuja Wednesday, showed that June had lowest approval rating for the president started 13 months ago. His rating was highest in October, peaking at 80 per cent.

NOIPolls in their findings said: “This latest score represents a 9-point decline when compared to the rating in May which stood at 48 per cent.”

In February, the president’s approval rating, according to the pollster, stood at 57 per cent.

According to the poll, the survey also revealed a general decline in the approval of the president across five geopolitical zones, when compared to the month of May.

It said: “The North-east zone with 59 per cent was the highest. On the other hand, the South-east and South-south zones had the least approval rating of 8 per cent and 24 per cent respectively.”

The president’s approval rating on sectoral analyses also showed that Nigerians were dissatisfied in the areas of conflict resolution, agriculture and food security with scores of 28 and 21 per cent, respectively.

PUT AGAIN TO ENABLE YOU THINK AND POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND WHAT POLITICAL LEADERSHIP AND THE ADVISORY TEAM SHOULD BE FOR country like Nigeria from my thinking – I want to see how many can challenge the invaluable contributions on the website: http://www.virgo-enterprised.com all precede the policy pronouncements by governments in Nigeria!

We should not forget that Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala advised on need for saving towards the unforeseen and ‘Due Process’ for contract procurement persons like Obasanjo could not understand her and worse is the the Governors threatened to ‘impeach’ Dr. G.E. Jonathan on dithering on the idea of ‘sharing’ the excess Oil funds, confirming my observation that Nigeria’s economic policy formulations and political setting are based on that Sharecropping idea – whilst in there do as much as you can to amass wealth and leave like that monkey you allowed to drink out of your precious cup and when you ask it to return the cup so that you can let others have same drink like it did, it goes up onto your roof top/ tree in your compound still looking into the cup and wondering where the juicy drink has gone! With such strong persuasion to return the cup it let go the cup on your head calling you a ‘muu-muu’ in monkey language! So, understand (see) what is happening in Nigeria through this periscope, folks! And to be able to deal with the endemic problems – psychology, you must call in psychologists to advise you on my new political leadership solution – what the imports are meant to achieve for the people course bearing in your minds the recommendations of the Confab towards the avowed ‘restructuring’ of Nigeria – the ex-Military officer leading you in Nigeria are not trained politicians nor economists as is the approach in France and the U.S. so, that is why you’re not moving in Nigeria in spite of the size of the natural resources you may find in the zones! You’re caught in situation best described as a ‘quagmire’ encouraging conflict subliminally between the leaders and the advisers and the ordinary people get./ bear the brunt of the outfalls!

Much as I do not want to post a long comment about this article it should remind your readers about my observation earlier about Buhari’s return to office, thus: – I said in that comment about Buhari that he is acting like the Nigerian coming home from exile even though a member of the ‘Council of State’ of Nigeria to be able to ba taking records of the things happening in the country in case he is called to return to supervise the affairs of the people – a situation you’ll get if you had the ‘Shadow Cabinet’ arrangement I talked about for Nigeria – an alternative government in waiting, as it were! With the reports and trappings going on it may not be all that surprising but there could be room for improvement but the unfortunate is that we are told that Buhari’s is relying too much on the ‘Kitchen Cabinet’ whose capacity and ability is obviously under question from the trends as such they are largely contributory for the performance records and so the low rating! I am thinking as a matter of expediency, what is the purpose of the Council of State – is it to provide the past Heads of State ‘heaven’ to hide – to retire to after service; mark you part of the privilege is that ‘immunity’ and I hear that attendance is not that compulsory so that they can keep abreast with the goings-on in the governance of the country as you’ll get from a true Shadow Cabinet arrangement to enable any of them to land and run if you happen to win in any election as a President or be in position to advise your party if they win for the reason that you cannot do 3rd term!

We have just been advised out here in London that there is a member of the ‘Kitchen Cabinet’ related to the President that is responsible for Buhari’s low level performance! It goes to confirm that my observation about the dangers of such appendage since (especially when) they are not elected by the electorates to be accountable to the people and therefore such persons constitute part of that wrong-things-happening-administratively-back stage I talked about Nigeria! Remember also that we are not told how much these groups are paid and who approved the rates talking about corruption in Nigeria; all that happening at our behest/ peril, folks! All said, they should return to my political leadership arrangement vis-a-vis the ability for candidates to be in position to comprehend policies first on their own volition before they call in advisers (in this case the Kitchen Cabinet who could be working under the influence of vendetta and vindictive encumbrances all of which encapsulated in that whims and caprices considered a dangerous thing against public matters) to muddle things up – unless you can do this, i.e. find a solution to this, you will remain in that LIMBO situation in Nigeria!

The solution therefore, like I said, it in my new leadership arrangement for Nigeria if you can comprehend the germ! I want to remind Nigerians that until we are prepared to drop the rhetoric about who can become leaders in for Nigeria, going by what really makes/ determines a leaders, you are not going to move! Consequently, at this juncture I want to remind again for you to return to that ‘French revolution’ leaders’s reprimand to his people when they went to felicitate with him in exactly the same manner Asewaju Bola Tinubu, Chief John Oyegun and others went to felicitate with Buhari after the elections at the Aso Rock Villa and they discussed at length!
