President of Benson Idahosa University (BIU), Edo State, Bishop Faith Emmanuel Benson Idahosa, has called for more prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari to get well and return to the country.
He made the request after the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the institution’s open distance learning centre in Okha, near Benin City.
He said Nigeria was a creation of God and disagreed with beliefs in some quarters that the country was wrongly created with the Amalgamation of the Southern and Northern Protectorates.
“Nigeria is a country that has come to stay. It was not done by accident; it was not a mistake. God has created this nation and our job, as Christians, is to pray for whoever is there as a leader.
“The person leading any nation is not there by mistake. If God did not want the person to be there, he would not be there. So, we know that the person is there because God has ordained him”, he said.
Idahosa also stressed the need for the citizens to work towards the successful nation, through prayers.
