Aisha Buhari, wife of Dictator Muhammadu Buhari, has lavished her husband with adulation as he marks his 77th birthday.
The first lady took to Twitter in the early hours of Tuesday to pen a heartfelt message to her husband.
Aisha described her “sweetheart” as “incorruptible GMB” — in what appeared to be a thinly-veiled dig at those who now refer to the president as a “general”.
Happy Birthday to MY incorruptible GMB.
I wish you Allah’s Guidance Protection and Good Health to continue steering the affairs of our dear nation .
Long Live GMB

She also sought for God’s guidance and protection on Buhari so he can steer the affairs of the country in good health.
“Happy Birthday to MY incorruptible GMB. I wish you Allah’s Guidance Protection and Good Health to continue steering the affairs of our dear nation. Long Live GMB Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she wrote on Twitter, accompanied with two lovely photos to commemorate the special occasion.
Aisha’s romantic message is coming days after she said she lacked opportunities to have pillow talk with her husband.
She said this while featuring as a guest on a programme aired on Television Continental, Journalists Hangout, whose recorded episode for last Thursday was obtained by our correspondent.
Aisha, who spoke to the journalists via telephone, noted that busy schedules denied her of the opportunities to have pillow talks with the retired major general.
She said this when asked why she expresses her views on national issues in public instead of doing so during pillow talk.
Aisha said, “There is no pillow in the villa. No, because we are always busy listening to one story or another. I think the people he puts in the cabinet, they should just sit up and do the needful. That is why it is not good to have godfatherism.
“We just have to choose the right people to be at the right places so that we would rest, so that the first lady should stop talking.”
Born on December 17, 1942, in Daura, Katsina state, Dictator Buhari had tied the knot with Aisha in 1989. The union has so far been blessed with five children.
Buhari’s 77th birthday celebration comes about two weeks after the couple marked their 30th wedding anniversary.
It also comes some months after the president was rumoured to be on the cusp of taking Sadiya Umar Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, as wife.
Aisha was recently the subject of conversation on social media after she accused Garba Shehu, Buhari’s spokesman, of taking instructions from Mamman Daura, the president’s nephew, in a lengthy tirade.
She also joked about not having intimate conversations in bed with her husband owing to a lack of time.
