INEC Registers Modern Democratic Party (MDP) Led by Nigerian Youth Bukunyi Olateru-Olagbegi

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given 21 newly registered political parties certificates of operation.

One of the newly registered parties, the Modern Democratic Party (MDP) is led by Bukunyi Olateru-Olagbegi, a young Nigerian entrepreneur.

In a chat with SIGNAL on Wednesday, Olateru-Olagbegi said he was very delighted that the party has been registered after a long and rigorous process of registration.

“Today, as we received our Certificate of Registration, we are convinced more than ever before that the new Nigeria of our dreams is indeed possible. MDP stands today as a political party founded on the principles of innovation and ideas. It is a party for all Nigerians who are tired of business as usual. It is a party for the young and youthful at heart.

It is a party sponsored and owned solely by the citizens of Nigeria who want to see a difference in the politics and governance of this nation. MDP is home to Nigerians who are tired of the status quo and want to be part of something fresh, something new, something untainted and something different.

“We know that the journey ahead of us will be long. This is not a party registered for the 2019 presidential elections. We are here for the long haul and wish to call on all true patriots of our fatherland to get involved as we embark on this journey towards building Nigeria’s first and truly Modern Democratic Party”, he said.
