Kwara Group Urges Saraki to Run for President

A group, Kwara State Indigenes Association Worldwide (KSIAW), has urged former Senate President Bukola Saraki to run for president in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

In a letter signed by Alhaji Olanipekun Azeez, president and Mohammed Anwalu Secretary and delivered at the GRA Ilorin home of Saraki during the annual welfare and empowerment programme of Bukola Saraki Foundation, the group said: “We strongly believe that you, Bukola Saraki have the pedigree that can turn around Nigeria for the better. You also have the requisite qualification to lead our dear country Nigeria to the next level.

“During your tenure as Governor of Kwara State, you made Kwara State a strong agricultural production base with your relationship with white farmers from Zimbabwe. This is one of your lasting legacies because the agric reforms which created the famed Shonga Farms are being emulated by other states.

“Your interest in the development of solid infrastructure in Kwara state is for the record. Power generation and distribution in Ilorin is second to none in the country.

“In medicine, You Bukola Saraki succeeded in developing a medical format for mother and child while improving on the state owned medical facilities across Kwara State.”

Receiving the letter on behalf of the former senate president, Hon Lekan Osinubi a personal assistant added that he was “yet to convey it to oga. I’ll surely do”.
