Peter Obi Writes Ben Bruce, Commends His Decision Not to Recontest Senate Seat

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi has commended Senator Ben Murray-Bruce for showing exemplary character in his decision not to re-contest his Senate seat.

In a letter to Murray-Bruce made available to SIGNAL, Obi wrote;

My Very Dear Brother Ben,

Your decision not to recontest the Senate seat on the single premise of honouring an unwritten agreement has demonstrated one of the strongest traits of integrity totally lacking in the entire Nigerian political space.

One of the distinctive characteristics of a good leader is the ability to honour agreements even when they are not favourable to him.

Congratulations, & accept my profound appreciation of your position, which underlines a selfless, and exemplary principles. I recommend such conduct to all of us who are politicians.

May God Almighty, who sees your goodness, bless you and your family always.

Best regards,

Peter Obi
