Security Officers Deny Journalists Entry to Tinubu Colloquium

Security personnel on Tuesday denied many guests and some journalists entry into the venue of the 9th annual Bola Tinubu Colloquium holding at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Punch reports.

An angry, elderly man prevented from entering into the hall, rained curses on one of the guards who threatened to blind him if he entered.

The guards from one Solution Security outfit turned back the journalists on the excuse that they should either produce invitation cards or be registered and given press tags.

The majority of the journalists who could not produce invitation cards were also denied press tags by an unidentified man who claimed that “there are too many journalists inside.”

Some journalists who approached Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, were disappointed as he told them he could not help.

It was a rowdy session for many hours as some guests left in annoyance.
