Winifred Oyo-Ita is Nigeria’s New Head of Service

Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita has been sworn-in by President Muhammadu Buhari  as the substantive Head of Service.

Buhari administered the oath of office on her before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting at the villa in Abuja.

Oyo-Ita took over the mantle of the Head of Service in October 2015 when the immediate HoS, Mr. Danladi Kifasi proceeded on terminal leave.

Her citation was read by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, after which she took her oath of office and oath of allegiance and proceeded to sign the oath register.

Addressing State House correspondents after her inauguration, Oyo-Ita promised to fight corruption in the service and also boost capacity building for the civil servants.
