David Beckham Hails Jose Mourinho’s Appointment As Manchester United Coach

David Beckham reportedly told Daily Mirror that Jose Mourinho is the ”perfect” managerial appointment for his former club Manchester United. The former Old Trafford star believes that the Portuguese’s personality was deeply missed in the English Premier League. He also hopes to be available for United’s first home game under Jose Mourinho’s guidance.

When asked about Mourinho’s appointment, Beckham said, “I think it is perfect. Bring Jose in, I loved him as a manager, bringing him back to the Premier League needed to happen.”

“It’s not the same without him. I can’t wait to see him. I only hope I can go to the first game,” he added.

Back when Jose Mourinho’s appointment was a mere speculation, Beckham was quoted saying, “There’s no disputing Jose is one of the best managers in football.”

“I love Jose. I think he’s an incredible manager, a great person, and he’s passionate about the game.

The 53 year old, former Chelsea manager was sacked mid-season after a slump in form as Chelsea dropped to the 17th spot in the league. After a weeklong speculation, Jose Mourinho finally agreed to take charge of English giants Manchester United, on 27th May.

His first game in charge of United will be against Leicester City in the FA Community Shield in August.
