Nasarawa State deputy governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, has narrowly escaped death following armed robbers’ attack on his convoy along Lafia/Akwanga road Tuesday evening.
Information gathered revealed that about three policemen and a driver were said to have lost their lives during the attack.
However, the deputy governor was said to have narrowly escaped unhurt.
Investigation also revealed that the incident occurred when the deputy governor was alerted about the robbery operation, and security personnel attached to him advanced to confront them, they were ambushed unnoticed.
Meanwhile, no official statement has been made on the sad incidence as of the time of filing this report.
