Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz Tha Bahd Guy will join 100s of delegates at Cannes Lion 2016 in France.
The theme for this year is “Creativity: Matters for Business, for Change, For Good.”
The rapper and actor will speak at the session -“Let My Enemy Live Long” – How Africans Consume. The event will also feature Familusi Akin Babajide also known as Mr. Fab, Feyi Olubodun and GG Alcock.
The session will look at creative marketing and the African consumer. Cannes Lion is an eight-day programme of creative inspiration, celebration, education and networking.
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (formerly the International Advertising Festival) is The World Championship of Creativity and a global event for those working in the creative communications, advertising and related fields. The seven-day festival which incorporates the Lions awards, is held yearly at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France.
Often called the world’s biggest ad festival, the annual event commonly attracts thousands of delegates from around the world. They attend the festival to view shortlisted work, attend seminars, workshops and master classes. The week’s activities include four award ceremonies as well as an opening and closing gala.
Falz, though educated in the UK, has been adjudged to have rocked the Nigerian music landscape by creating an engaging local persona that delivers high quality rap music using local accents and traditional cultural nuances in his musical imagery. This has built a huge following across all social classes. Falz is considered an authority in building personal brands that resonate with the African audience, and is a brand ambassador of major brands such as Remy Martin.
