Jose Mourinho is keen to sign Karim Benzema at Manchester United, according to The Independent.
Mourinho is set to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford and wants to sign two strikers this summer. Benzema has subsequently been identified as a target, along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is edging closer to joining the club as a free agent.
United are aware, however, that any deal for Benzema, who is currently negotiating a new contract at Santiago Bernabeu, will be difficult to complete, with the Frenchman previously snubbing advances to move to the Premier League from both United and Arsenal.
