Okonjo-Iweala Reacts to SIGNAL Report, Says Audio of Her Attacking GEJ is Fake

Former Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has urged Nigerians to ignore an audio tape being circulated in which she criticized former president, Goodluck Jonathan and expressed her support for President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that on Wednesday, SIGNAL broke the news of the emergence of scandalous shocking video in the social media purportedly containing the voice of Okonjo-Iweala.

Okonjo-Iweala made the denial via a statement released by her media aide, Paul C Nwabuikwu.

The statement reads:

“It has come to our attention that an audio recording of a woman pretending to be Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been circulating on various online platforms. In the contrived audio, the impostor makes several claims and expresses certain views which have absolutely nothing to do with Dr. Okonjo-Iweala.

“Anyone familiar with the former Finance Minister can confirm that the voice, the diction and the views are not hers.

“The Nigerian public and media should take note and avoid being deceived by this inept and ridiculous gimmick. Thank you.”
