Aisha Buhari Calls for Prayers as Zahra’s ‘Louis Vuitton’ Wedding Holds Tomorrow

As Nigeria’s first family prepares for the wedding ceremony of the family’s second daughter, Zahra, the first lady Aisha Buhari has implored Nigerians to pray for the success of the event.

Aisha made the call on Thursday via her Twitter handle.

“Please join me in prayers as my second daughter Zahra Buhari gets married to Ahmed Indimi on Friday December 16,2016,” the first lady twitted with a photo of the couple.

The wedding which was earlier scheduled to take place between November 30 and December 4, 2016 was postponed because the publicity it got from the media was too much, it was gathered.

It was gathered that the president became uncomfortable with the attention the media gave to the wedding especially the reports about the groom’s family presenting 30 Louis Vuitton bags to Zahra. It was widely reported that the groom, Ahmed Indimi presented 30 Louis Vuitton leather bags worth about £120,000 (N47,144,502) to the bride ahead of the wedding.
