Nigerians React as Osinbajo’s Twitter Handle Loses Verification Badge
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s Twitter handle, @ProfOsinbajo has lost its verification badge.
The handle currently has only three tweets, which were retweets of an N-Power animation on August 3rd.
The Vice President’s handle, which has been used to document his activities now has no history, photos or any semblance to the handle.
Presidency and ruling APC party social media influencers say the handle was hacked on Friday.
However, Twitter users have different opinions on the matter.
I learnt Prof Yemi Osinbajo’s Twitter handle has been experiencing some vicissitudes of late. From suspension to reversion to unverified, over accusation of vote buying through TraderMoni. @anticorruption 🤔

I’m here wondering the fallacious claims Laolu is thinking up as veritable excuse for the deactivation of the VP’s twitter account. Because, if we are being candid, lying comes naturally to these guys.
And nope, Osinbajo isn’t a Pastor. He is only gainfully employed by RCCG!

The “unverification” of Osinbajo Twitter is a bad omen on this administration but they couldn’t see it.
It looks simple but very loud and speaks volumes.

They suspended Osinbajos account, lol. Twitter has to suspend that his account if he goes ahead with #TraderMoni in Bayelsa and Kogi. It is vote buying and voter inducement. Twitter must help us fight people like Osinbajo who are bastardising our electoral system.
