Lucas Perez is set to re-join Deportivo La Coruna just 12 months after joining Arsenal.
The 28-year-old endured a nightmarish debut campaign in the Premier League at Arsenal.
He started just two Premier League games last season, scoring once in 11 appearances in total.
Perez looked to have battled his way into contention after a dazzling hat-trick in the 4-1 Champions League group stage win over Basel back in December.
But the striker couldn’t dislodge Alexis Sanchez or Olivier Giroud from the starting line-up.
Perez called it the “last straw” when new signing Alexandre Lacazette was handed his No9 shirt.
And the Daily Mail claim he is set to complete a move to Deportivo La Coruna for £10.9million.
Arsenal paid £12.7m to bring Perez to the English top flight last summer and arrived with excitement after bagging 17 goals in 36 games the previous season for Deportivo.
The report claims terms are yet to be agreed but his agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, is hopeful a deal can be finalised soon.
“I think the £10.9million that Deportivo La Coruna have offered Arsenal is a great deal,” he told Sky Sports.
“Deportivo received £12.7million when they sold him to them last summer.
“They are giving everything to make this transfer possible. Lucas wants to play but he has a contract with Arsenal. I am hopeful an agreement can be reached.”
