A senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has filed court processes against Sahara Reporters over the online media’s story claiming he (Melaye) did not graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU).

Melaye through his counsel Barrister Marx Ikongbeh filed an application before the High Court of the FCT, Maitama seeking for the leave of court to issue writ of summons to the defendants: the Incorporated Trustees of Sahara Reporters Media Foundation, Omoyele Sowore, Temitope Olumuyide and Sahara Reporters Media Group Inc.

Speaking with journalists at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama this morning before filing a court process against Sahara Reporters, Dino said “I completed a Masters degree at Ahmadu Bello University and I am doing another degree programme as I speak to you I am a student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

“That is why I am in court to right the wrongs and also to use this as a deterrent to outfits like Sahara Reporters that have commercialized their contents.

“We are also suing for libel and at the same time asking for N5 billion damages.”
